We grew out of a Community Soup Night in Seattle started after the 2024 election by a motivated, potty-mouthed individual named Carrie. Our group came together to mourn, share fears, and figure out how to step up our involvement.
Carrie began writing the Soup Group before each meeting with things to do locally and nationally. Emails got forwarded, people asked to get on the list, and voila, here we find ourselves. The Soup Group collab has extended from Seattle to Vermont and in between.
We’re just getting started and have big dreams for how to activate and engage individuals in Seattle and across the country.
We focus on giving you action items, not the news.
Everything is crowdsourced and vetted by a crew of volunteers. If you have a hot tip about an action, event, ways to spread good trouble, etc, please share it here.
